IndexFrom Egistix Oil HelpIndices are used in the system to capture various posting, conversion, rate, price entities which routinely need to be kept in the system. There are several type of indices in the system: Blending, Currency Exchange, Equalization, Miscellaneous, Price, Royalty, Tariff, and Unit Conversion. Optional The indices can be further categorized in custom categories if such are available for the given index type. The index type subcategories are entered through the Category editor and allow dividing large group of indices into smaller groups for classification and ease of use purposes.
SectionsGeneral - Identifies the index and defines all general fields. General info is a prerequisite to further defining any index. Formula Editor - Used to create complex formulae that define the calculations that each index represents. Index Calendar - Defines the calendar to be used by formulae in calculations. Index Scale - Provides a means to define the number of decimal places or scale for an index. Clause Text and Description - Defines the index description and the verbiage associated with it that will be used when auto generating a pricing clause. Optional
