Security and Auditing are system administration features used to maintain and monitor the usage of the Egistix System by its users. The use of these features allows a system management group to control the various groups people and functions of the system along with the ability to see the changes made in the system by its users.

Security

  • Groups - Defines the security groups in the system. Users belong to these groups. In doing so, users have specific permissions.
  • Group Permissions - Defines the permission for a group. These permissions define the set of features that can be used throughout the system.
  • Users - Defines the users who may use the Egistix system.
  • Change Password - Allows a user to change their password.
  • Security Report - Provides the security administrator with a report that outlines a user's set of permissions. This is useful since it is possible that users can belong to more than one group that have different permissions for the same system feature.
  • Manage Locks - Designated Users can view lock status for a month, and lock or unlock source data for a specific month
