From Egistix Oil Help
Security and Auditing are system administration features used to maintain and monitor the usage of the Egistix System by its users. The use of these features allows a system management group to control the various groups people and functions of the system along with the ability to see the changes made in the system by its users.
Security
- Groups - Defines the security groups in the system. Users belong to these groups. In doing so, users have specific permissions.
- Group Permissions - Defines the permission for a group. These permissions define the set of features that can be used throughout the system.
- Users - Defines the users who may use the Egistix system.
- Change Password - Allows a user to change their password.
- Security Report - Provides the security administrator with a report that outlines a user's set of permissions. This is useful since it is possible that users can belong to more than one group that have different permissions for the same system feature.
- Manage Locks - Designated Users can view lock status for a month, and lock or unlock source data for a specific month
